How a report works

Here is how a report under HinSchG works — from submission to feedback.

    Submit a report

    5-10 min

    You fill in the form. Required fields are kept to a minimum; additional details are voluntary and speed up processing. Anonymous reports are possible.

  2. 2

    Acknowledgement of receipt

    within 7 days

    The reporting body confirms receipt in writing — within 7 days at the latest, unless that would jeopardise confidentiality (§ 17 HinSchG).

  3. 3

    Examination & follow-up

    The reporting body examines the matter, may ask questions and initiates further steps if necessary (internal investigation, forwarding).

  4. 4

    Feedback

    within 3 months

    Within 3 months at the latest you receive feedback on which follow-up measures were taken — or why none were taken (§ 17 HinSchG).
