Confidentiality requirement

Under § 8 HinSchG, the identity of the reporting person is protected. It may only be accessible to staff handling the report.

Disclosure only exceptionally

Disclosure of the identity is only permitted in narrowly defined exceptional cases (e.g. criminal proceedings, court order).

SSL encryption

All data transmissions are SSL-encrypted. The connection is never unencrypted.

Fine for breach

Anyone breaching confidentiality risks a fine of up to €50,000 under § 40 HinSchG.

Anonymity possible

You do not have to give your name. Anonymous reports are covered by HinSchG and must be processed.

No IP storage

We do not store IP addresses and log no traces back to the sender.
